Prof. Karin Schumacher worked as a music therapist and child and adolescent psychotherapist in clinical contexts and in private practice for over 40 years. Her research focuses on music therapy for pervasive developmental disorders, especially autism. Since 1990, together with the developmental psychologist Claudine Calvet, she has been developing the so-called “EBQ instrument” to assess relationship quality. Karin Schumacher has been retired since 2016 and continues to teach as a lecturer at the Music Therapy Center of the UdK Berlin. Professor Zachary Munn is an advocate for evidence-based healthcare and for ensuring policy and practice is based on the best available evidence. Professor Munn is the founding Director of Health Evidence Synthesis, Recommendations and Impact (HESRI) in the School of Public Health at the University of Adelaide; Head of the Evidence Synthesis Taxonomy Initiative (ESTI); Founding Director of the JBI Adelaide GRADE Centre; past-Chair of the Guidelines International Network (GIN) and a National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Investigator.
